I’m so excited to share my dream of creating an authentic Italian restaurant.
When I was growing up, my father was an avid wine collector; this early exposure stirred my passion for high-quality wines and has profoundly influenced my career path. As part of her job, my mother travels all over the world, and has been able to expose my sister and me to authentic cuisines at some of the finest restaurants. These experiences instilled in me the notion that the best meals should always be paired with the best wines and spirits.
My hospitality career began at Trap Rock Restaurant and Brewery, right up the road in Berkeley Heights. I have been fortunate to work for other large corporate restaurants such as Darden, a leader in the full-service dining industry, and the renowned Voltaggio Brothers, known for their time on Bravo's Emmy-winning season of Top Chef. In the decade since, I studied wine and spirits extensively and became a sommelier. My time with these successful groups reinforced in me the importance of bringing together a great atmosphere, with high quality service, and fresh made food.
Here at Providence Bar and Kitchen, I aim to offer high quality, Italian-inspired cuisine, paired with great wines and creative cocktails. We source as many local ingredients as we can, and prepare mostly everything from scratch to ensure the highest quality meals. I love to bring people together to celebrate special occasions, milestones, or just enjoy a night out. At Providence, we create unique dining experiences, such as private wine dinners and whiskey tastings on the third Wednesday of each month. Come join us anytime.
